Cyclamen hederifolium silver leaf form (20 seeds)

$7.00

A mixture of soft pink, dark pink, and white flowering Cyclamen. C. hederifolium has proven to flourish with extreme drought and total neglect. A good one to start your Cyclamen collection with the delicate soft petals, decorative silver foliage, and a forgiving nature.

We offer two types of C. hederifolium, this is the silver or pewter leaf form. This form has an amazing contrast against the lightness of the flowers. It is such a stunning pot plant to admire in late summer early autumn.

Do not let chickens near your Cyclamen patch. They love eating them.

Grow Cyclamen hederifolium in dense to partial shade. C. hederifolium flowers in late summer, early autumn and produces leaves that remain until early summer. Cyclamen can handle a dry period over summer, but it is wise to provide intermittent water and fertiliser during the growth period.

Sow the seed as soon as you recieve them. Sow into a 120 mm pot using a well draining potting mix. We incorporate extra coarse sad to increase drainage. Do not press down on the mix, allow it to be nice and airy. scatter the seeds on top of the mix and then cover very lightly with about 2 tbsp of mix and then another 2 tbsp of coarse sand. Please this in a shaded area and water until moist but not wet. Keep watering it regularly to keep moist until they germinate. It can take time to germinate so do not worry if you do not see them until the next autumn/winter.
