The quite large flowers are borne on branched, compact panicles in an amazing range of colours, it has been extensively hybridised. Flowering time is in late Spring to Summer but can occur at almost any other time, we unusually had some flower during this last winter.
Like its relative Lewisia cotyledon and its hybrids require extremely well drained conditions in sun.
