Massonia roggeveldensis (15 seeds)

$8.00
Sold Out

The first thing you will notice about this Massonia is the smell, it is just glorious. This Massonia apparently has a nicer common name, Roggeveld Hedgehog Lily.

From South Africa this bulb likes to be dry in dormancy and is a winter grower. Flowers appear late autumn early winter followed by two large spreading leave that are flat to the ground. When not grown in sufficient light the leaves will lift up.

Massonias are a great addition to a collectors display, not taxing on the water supply for summer and a delight in winter. They are very easy to grow from seeds and take only 3-4 years to flowering size (depending on growing conditions). The flowers start out white and end up witha pinkish hue and release a sweet scent around it.
